Acts 2:5-7

Acts 2:5-7
KJV 5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. 6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. 7 And they were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

Acts 2:5-7New International Reader's Version (NIRV)
5 Godly Jews from every country in the world were staying in Jerusalem. 6 A crowd came together when they heard the sound. They were bewildered because they each heard the believers speaking in their own language. 7 The crowd was really amazed. They asked, “Aren’t all these people from Galilee?

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

5 Jerusalem the holy city, city that had the temple in it, it was an important time of year not this many Jews would have been in Jerusalem since Passover. Jews feared God but somewhere along the way they left God by denying Christ as Lord. To deny Christ is to deny the Father who sent Him.

6 People may have heard this noise from the streets, people may have also wondered where the Disciples of Christ had been, there may have been more than the twelve in this room waiting on the Holy Spirit, and all those who followed Jesus would have been in here to receive the Holy Spirit.

7 At this time all the people who had faith in Christ were from Israel only with a few exceptions such as the women at the well. They knew something was up these men would not been seen as educated enough to know other languages.
