1 Samuel 9:17-18
KJV 17 And when Samuel saw Saul, the LORD said unto him, Behold the man whom I spake to thee of! this same shall reign over my people.18 Then Saul drew near to Samuel in the gate, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, where the seer's house is.
1 Samuel 9:17-18 Revised English Version
17When Samuel saw Saul, Yahweh said to him, “Behold, the man of whom I spoke to you! This same will have authority over my people.”
18Then Saul drew near to Samuel in the gate and said, “Please tell me where the seer’s house is.”
These are my thoughts, please share yours.
17 God let Samuel know that Saul was the one that He planned to make the king over Israel.
18 Saul didn’t know who Samuel was but now Samuel knew who Saul would become. Samuel didn’t even know why he was looking for him but knew what God wanted to be done and that matters most.
