My Belief

My belief is based mainly on the Baptist Doctrine. Specifically the Missionary Baptist and Free Will Baptist Doctrines. However, I do not believe the full doctrine belief of neither. I do think that we should do missions as Jesus said in Mark 16:15 "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."

I am not trying to bring down the doctrines or the "full-doctrine believers," and I attend mainly a Missionary Baptist Church, however this is my belief. I am not completely sure if all Missionary and Free Will doctrines do not believe that there is not an unforgivable sin or not, just the ones I have heard of and seen does. However, Matthew 12:31 says "Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men."

In a way there isn't, it is only if you continually reject Christ, and never believe in your heart and confess that God raised Him from the dead - Romans 10:9.

However, I do not believe that we should just be about one doctrine, for not every doctrine has complete truth, for example; some people believe that we are chosen by God before we are born to be saved. There is a problem with that, though. Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." There are many verses that prove this wrong, especially in Romans.

Now, don't get me wrong. I don't care what denomination, or what your belief is, just as long as you really believe that, and as long as there are some Bible verses to back it up. Also if you are not going by what others believe; and as long as you worship God in the spirit. John 4:24 says "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."

I, also, don't think it matters what Bible you have, just as long as you use it, and it isn't a man-made-up Bible. Like I don't think it matters if you have a KJV, NKJV, HCSB, NIV, etc. just as long as it isn't like something that was man's word, and not God's Word.

 emoticon This Hour,

Glad to see you here and look forward to seeing your posts emoticon.

Of course you know it DOES matter to me what you believe because unless what we believe matches up with what God has told us in his word (the Bible) it is wrong.

I am off to attend to RunBoard duties right now but I'll be back...

I didn't really mean for it to sound like that, what I meant was that I don't care if you are a Primitive, Southern, Missionary, or Free Will, or whatever, just as long as you are not a false Christian, and you try your hardest to do God's commands.

and thus it comes down to interpretation doesn't it?

Not mans interpretation though except on places where if what we think is correct in one part of the Bible creates a conflict with another part of the Bible we can be sure it is us and not the Bible that is in error.

John 16:13
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.

Re: My Belief

I believe the Holy Spirit is working hard in all Christian denominations in order to reveal the Truth of Gods Word.

On the other hand I also believe that God did indeed leave an authority for us all to turn to in such matters.

Paster Rick, you have a very nice forum here. I look forward to participating emoticon
